Dacia Torneden, Paramedic

Dacia is the owner and founder of TravelingCPR. Her healthcare journey began in 2009 with an initial path toward nursing. In 2017, Dacia launched TravelingCPR with a vision to make certification training both convenient and enjoyable, with a special focus on serving rural communities. Since then, the company has grown substantially, expanding beyond mobile training to include a dedicated location in Wichita, KS, which allows for even greater community engagement.

Janet_edited.jpg

Janet Schauf, RN

Janet is an RN at the Wichita VA Hospital. She specializes in the Caregiver Support Department at the VA. Janet loves working with the families of veterans and offering CPR classes to them.

While working with caregivers one of the big concerns they have is, “what if I am unable to move my loved one from chair or bed in case of cardiac arrest”. We developed the system of utilizing a cutting board if unable to move them to properly perform CPR without injuring themselves until help arrives. We love to think outside the box with our instructors.
